Since 1969, Thatcham have categorised and defined the industry standard and benchmarks for all vehicle security products. Products are categorised dependent on their features. The S5 category has a range of vehicle tracking devices that are monitored by Global Telemetrics 24/7, 365 days a year.
S5 tracking devices provide an insurance recognised tracking device with Driver Identification to aid in the protection of your vehicle. Driver Identification is achieved in either of two ways, mobile phone identification using the D-iD feature on our GTE Track app or the presence in the vehicle of one of our state of the art Bluetooth driver detection cards.
These cards, when switched on, communicate everything is safe with the vehicle and movement is authorised. If switched off or not present the tracking device will alert our Secure Control Centre who will contact our customer immediately. The cards are designed to be the same size as a credit card, allowing for safe storage in a purse or wallet. All S5 devices are monitored by the Global Telemetrics 24/7 365 days a year Secure Control Centre with an alert service for the following instances: battery tamper or disconnection, movement slert, Driver Detection not present, and alarm sounding (if connected to the tracking device).
All of our S5 devices are supplied with a method of Driver Detection, either through our GTE Track app or with our Bluetooth Driver Detection cards. If Driver Detection is not present or switched off then an alert will be generated and the customer will be contacted via our Secure Control Centre.
The GTE app offers real time location tracking and notifications with every device. Features include: journey history, calendar functions, reports, movement alerts, optional alarm integration, and geofences.
In-house Monitoring and Technical Support
All Global Telemetrics monitored devices benefit from our 24/7/365 monitoring services, no matter what day or what time one of our team will be on the end of a phone to assist any questions you may have.
Our immobilisation is one of the most influential ways to protect your vehicle. The immobilisation starts as soon as ignition is switched off and will not start until a command has been received to the device or the Driver Detection card is present. We offer two different types of immobilisation.
Our system works through your mobile device to alert if your vehicle is driven. Through the GTE Track app you will receive a push message every time your vehicle is driven. If you are with the vehicle the message can be ignored. If you feel your vehicle is stolen you can click the push notification
View the last recorded location of your vehicle or fleet, even switch between different mapping profiles Normal and Satellite.
If you have multiple vehicles you can scroll or search to find the one of interest. Next to every vehicle it will show the voltage, time and date of the last data connection
An easy way to view current and historical information from the tracking system. Information can be displayed into options, by list, or by the mapping screen. All data is controlled via a simple to use calendar widget.
Virtual perimeter around a selectable location; allowing an email to be sent if your vehicle enters or exits the requested area. For example, around a port which would then alert you to state that the vehicle was within the area and maybe going abroad.
Displays all of your vehicle data in one easy to use section. Data includes current location, last journey information and odometer information.
Some of our devices have the option to immobilise your vehicle, press a button within the app to immobilise/mobilise your vehicle.
Accessed through the vehicle Dashboard Temporarily disable your alerts if your vehicle is in the garage or being transported. Please note by activating service mode, all alerts, including push notifications and those received by the Global Telemetrics Control Centre, will be disabled for your specified time period. Time limit of up to 10 hours.
