Throughout November we recovered £3.2m worth of vehicles, putting our all-time title to over £206m!  In the final months of the year, we’ve seen a rise in recoveries as violent theft and financial fraud increase. The vehicle had been stolen overnight without the keys present. After contacting our Secure Control Centre to report the theft, our Repatriation Team located & secured the stolen vehicle. Within 11 minutes we had it back and ready to be collected by a grateful customer.  High value recoveries  Similarly to October, November saw a number of high value recoveries from our teams. This month our most expensive recovery was a Rolls Royce Cullinan which was recovered for one of our finance customers.  The Cullinan had been taken to Spain without the company's authorisation, with the finance company continuing to monitor its location remotely resulting in identifying that the vehicle had returned to the UK in November. They immediately contacted our team, who attended the address and securely recovered the vehicle on their behalf. Hotspots After a brief hiatus from top spot last month, London has once again returned to the top of the infamous list of where vehicles are stolen from. Over 20% of all vehicles recovered in November were from London,  with Hammersmith and Fulham being the boroughs targeted the most. Last month's number 1, West Yorkshire and Hertfordshire, were in second and third place respectively.  Land Rover Warning Land Rovers are one of our most recovered vehicles consistently throughout the months and years. However, newer models due to the software upgrade have been harder to steal. Recently the head of our Repatriation Team has passed information on to us that there is a current order from criminals to steal new models of Land Rover. Since inception in 2006 SmarTrack has provided customers with peace of mind, protection and the knowledge that if their vehicle is stolen our team will do everything we can to recover it.  Chop Shops stopped October saw a number of chop shops discovered & shut down thanks to our SmarTrack tracking devices. The biggest of which was thanks to the device located in a Porsche Cayman. The most significant recovery involved a Porsche Cayman thanks to the installed device. The tracker led our team to the location which contained the vehicle, alongside 17 others! 3 more chop shops were located throughout the month, with Global Telemetrics continuing to help police put a stop to organised car crime.  Quickest Recovery - 13 minutes Recovering Porsche’s became somewhat of a theme during October,with a Porsche Macan also a target of thieves. 13 minutes after our customer confirmed it was stolen, our team was with the vehicle and had it secured. Hotspots For the first time, West Yorkshire led the way for our recoveries with 32% of all recoveries for the month being reported stolen from that area. Second place was our usual top spot London with 24% of all recoveries being from a London Borough. Surrey finished in third place this month.  Dark nights and Defrosting cars It almost goes without saying but now that the dark nights have returned, inevitably car theft figures will rise. Ensure to ‘back the basics’ and make sure doors are locked, keys aren’t on show and take all necessary precautions to keep your vehicle safe.  Each year we have multiple theft reports after vehicles have been left to warm-up or de-ice during the cold mornings and evenings. Please do not leave your vehicle unattended at any point this winter.  Similarly, parcel theft in the run up to Christmas becomes a big target for criminals. A filled with the Winter Olympics, the biggest ever world cup tournament and hopefully the GTA 6 release. The year started with things all upside down in the Stranger Things finale, leading to many conspiracies online but what definitely isn’t a conspiracy was that once again Global Telemetrics were on hand to recover vehicles. In 2025, Global Telemetrics recovered vehicles to the value of £29.8m, representing a modest increase compared to £26.5m in 2024. This increase can be attributed to a number of factors, one being our Team assisting the police in identifying a number of chop shops resulting in more stolen vehicles located.  2025 also saw an increase in higher value vehicles being recovered, with Lamborghini Urus’ being particularly popular amongst thieves. Throughout the year, there has also been an increase in asset recovery for companies who have vehicles not returned. December saw £3.8m worth of vehicles recovered taking our overall total to over £210m.  Recovery highlights Most recovered vehicle of 2025 - For the 10th year running The Range Rover Sport is Global Telemetrics most recovered vehicle. That said, this year was much closer than in previous years, with several months seeing the Range Rover Sport no longer ranked as the most recovered vehicle. In December, the Volkswagen Golf emerged as our most recovered model. The SF90 was stolen, jammed & hidden underground in a garage, but our team, equipped with their expertise and knowledge, were able to find and recover within 11 hours. How and where are vehicles being stolen?Data collected throughout the year shows that 50% of vehicles were stolen using keyless methods. While this represents a decrease compared to previous years, it has coincided with an increase in burglaries. 88% of our recoveries involved vehicles stolen from the customer’s home address.Quickest recoveryGlobal Telemetrics prides itself on its vehicle recovery services, with all monitored tracking devices automatically supported by a team of dedicated Auto-Crime Investigation Repatriation agents.Our team liaise closely with the police to speed up vehicle recovery times and provide assistance where required. London has led the way throughout the year with  24% of all vehicles recovered from that area with Hammersmith & Fulham being the most likely borough to have a vehicle stolen. West Midlands took its usual spot of second place with a 15% theft rate and West Yorkshire was third with 12%.20262025 has seen an increase in burglaries and sadly we predict that this will be an upwards trend.As more people become aware of faraday pouches and the dangers of relay theft, we expect that thieves will become more desperate to steal vehicles. Thankfully, thanks to some stunning saves from Global Telemetrics, customers still have their vehicles. Towards the end of the month, our customer awoke in the early hours of the morning to find they had been burgled throughout the night. During which their Lamborghini Urus had been stolen. The customer immediately phoned through to our Secure Control Centre with their crime reference number and the case was handed to our dedicated recovery agents. Within an hour, our agents had the vehicle located and secured ready for the customer to collect.  Quickest Recovery - Mercedes AMG G 63 Our customer had their G 63 stolen in the early hours of the morning, after they had their keys stolen earlier in the evening. Once reporting to our Secure Control Centre it was clear the thieves were attempting to jam the signal on the vehicle. Thanks to the expertise of our team we were able to get the location within seconds and give a location immediately to our team who were then able to get to the vehicle in just 11 minutes after the initial report came through.  Regional Hotspots For the first time, April saw a three-way tie for the most popular theft location. London, West Midlands and West Yorkshire all had the same amount of recoveries this month. In London, Westminster was the most stolen from the borough.  Events At the start of May we attended Initiate at Goodwood, a first time event by our friend Baggsy.    Showcasing the best in Europe in drifting and Freestyle Moto X the event was very successful with thousands in attendance all having a great time. As the nights draw in, Global Telemetrics keep shining.  During August we recovered £1.6m worth of vehicles, taking our all time total to £194m.  August Recovery Highlights Most recovered vehicles - BMW stole the crown  from (Land Rover) as most recovered manufacturer this month with variants of 420i, M2, M5 and X5 all being stolen and recovered. When it comes to a single vehicle,  this month the Mercedes Sprinter was our most stolen vehicle.  Other vehicles recovered included: Audi - A3, RS5 and SQ 8 Ford - Kuga  Kubota - RTV Land Rover - Discovery Nissan - Navara Peugeot - Boxer based Motorhomes Porsche - 911 Rolls Royce - Wraith Toyota - Prius and Rav 4 Volkswagen - Touareg  https://youtu.be/AfXO1TJGwP8Drones locate hidden BMW  As you will be aware by now, a huge benefit included when you purchase one of our tracking systems is the support from our exclusive Repatriations Team. This team of recovery agents are available 24/7/365 and will attend every theft reported to our team. In the middle of August, our customer had their BMW M5 stolen and reported it to our Secure Control Centre. Immediately, the repatriation team headed out to the location given by the vehicle's SmarTrack tracking device.  Regardless of the fact that the BMW wasn’t immediately visible upon arrival, the tracking location data ensured that it was at the location attended; Our team deployed a drone to get a birds eye view of the area and soon spotted the stolen BMW between 2 vans. Our team quickly mobilised and passed the location to West Yorkshire Police who were very close to the area and we were able to swoop in and locate the vehicle which had been parked up & significantly damaged. This equals our quickest every recovery time matching with another motorhome which thieves had parked around the corner from a police station!  Hotspots  This month there were 2 clear stand outs when it came to thefts. London & the West Midlands make up just shy of half of all recoveries during August, with South Yorkshire taking  3rd place. Our Repatriations Team have also informed us that Glasgow is a current hotspot for thieves and we ourselves recovered vehicles in the Glasgow area in August. As winter approaches, something that can be easily overlooked is not locking your car. Lots of people will leave their car to warm up and de-ice from the warmth of indoors. Thieves will scope areas out and watch for patterns allowing them to strike on an easy target. Each year Global Telemetrics recover countless cars which have been stolen in this manner. Out delivering parcels? Make sure you remember to lock your car between stops!Parcel theft has become rife across the country over recent years, often with the vehicle being taken to a discreet location so it can be emptied. During February, Global Telemetrics were responsible for the recovery of £1.7m worth of vehicles, a slight rise from January’s £1.4m total. Plant theft remains a huge issue throughout the UK for farmers, construction companies and insurance underwriters, with many items stolen each year. Plant machinery theft can have many knock-on effects for businesses and business owners who rely on the machinery for their livelihood. Quickest recovery  When waking up on the 1st February to find their Range Rover Sport had been taken from their   driveway, our customer quickly got on the phone to our Secure Control Centre. With details taken, Aleks from our Stolen Vehicle Recovery Team immediately spoke to our Reparations Team who liaised with police. In just 7 minutes from the first call, the Range Rover was located and secured. Upon finding the vehicle, it was apparent that thieves had tried to find the tracking device but thanks to the expert installation by a GT approved installation engineer, they were unable to locate the device. Covert device installation remains the best defence against thieves locating trackers, giving vital time to police and recovery agents to attend the scene. Regional hotspots London remains in pole position with 37% of all vehicles recovered being stolen from the London area, Ealing being the most likely borough to encounter a car thief. Usually, the West Midlands takes second spot, but this month it dropped out of our top 3 for the first time in a long time to make way for Essex and West Yorkshire.  Upcoming projects Last year Global Telemetrics sponsored our friends at Supercar Driver at their season opener event at Donington Park Circuit. Intruders broke into our customers home and took the keys from the faraday bag they were stored in. Thinking they were onto a winner since they now had the keys, they were still thwarted. This is because even with the keys a vehicle protected with this device will not start unless the card is present!Thieves were disturbed by neighbours whilst this was occurring so they sadly got away. Quickest Recovery 8 MinsWhen our customer's Fiat Ducato-based motorhome was stolen during the middle of July, they were thankfully very quick to notice and call our Secure Control Centre. Armed with a crime reference number, our team were able to pounce on the location of the stolen vehicle. Part of this reason could be due to the excellent weather we have had during March, this year has been the driest for 60 years and this has season more people get their motorhomes out of storage, simply meaning more are available for thieves to steal. This will also increase demand for motorhomes to be stolen ‘to order’ which is potentially another reason for the increase in numbers. We have seen vehicles stolen both from the home and storage units over the month, emphasising the need for tracking devices, is your motorhome really safe in storage?   Towards the end of the month our customer called to inform us that not only had their vehicle been stolen the previous evening but it had also been recovered only 20 minutes later. In most cases, customers ring our team and our team will instruct the customer to obtain a crime reference number which will then be passed on to our recovery agents. In this case, the customer, armed with a location the vehicle had stopped at, gave the location straight to the police who immediately attended the scene.  A win for our free app GTE Track that is available for all of our device types. Regional hotspotsAfter dropping out of the top 3 last month West Midlands came back with a bang during March, with 37% of all recoveries being vehicles stolen in this area. This is more than double second place London and more than triple 3rd place Lancashire. Numerous attempts were made to hide the vehicle including attempting to signal jam the device, changing number plates and then hiding 2 stories underground in a car park with a cover over the car. Our stolen vehicle recovery team are highly experienced in these situations and utilise many different techniques to locate the vehicle. Combined with our Repatriation Team’s fantastic knowledge of local areas and hotspots for vehicles to be taken to, this Purosangue, despite all the hiding attempts, was recovered in 2 hours from being confirmed as stolen to us.  One to watch - KIAKIAs aren’t vehicles that appear often in our recovered lists usually, but during May and crossing over into the beginning of June we have been seeing various models of KIA being stolen and thankfully recovered emphasising the need for security solutions. So far we have seen models of Niro, Sorrento, and Sportage stolen and then recovered. Quickest Recovery - 15 minutesWhen our customer looked out the window around 10.30pm at the start of May, the last thing they expected to see was their Range Rover Sport being driven off their drive. Thankfully for the customer the Range Rover Sport was protected with one of our SmarTrack S5 devices. A quick phone call to our Secure Control Centre and our repatriations team were immediately deployed, liaising with police to pursue the moving vehicle. Within just 15 minutes of the initial call, our repatriation team had guided the police to the vehicle’s location, where it was quickly secured and brought under control. Regional hotspots After sharing the lead last month, London was back with a bang during May with 35% of all vehicles recovered during the month being from the London area. Even during the milder days of September, Global Telemetrics successfully recovered £1.9m worth of vehicles which brings our grand total to an astonishing £196m! September Recovery highlights. In September, a Mercedes GLE recovery was filmed prior to the customer's arrival, followed by an interview with our team. Later that month, a stolen BMW X3 was recovered and filmed by our team just 30 minutes after they were dispatched to the location. All of these videos and more can be found on our YouTube channel  Quickest Recovery - 28 minutes At the beginning of the month, our Secure Control Centre team detected a late-night journey of a customer's Lexus RX 450H. This immediately raised a red flag, as the vehicle rarely moved without a detection card, and late-night drives were uncommon. Immediately our team called the customer to try and confirm it was them driving the vehicle but after numerous failed attempts at contact, we became confident it was stolen. We began to mobilise our Auto-crime Repatriations Investigators to the vehicles current location. Whilst passing this information on, the customer called back and confirmed it was indeed stolen. In just 28 minutes after the initial first attempt to call the customer our team had located and secured the vehicle which ended in successfully returning it to its rightful owner. Trace, Track, Get My Car Back As you will have probably seen on our social media channels, BBC One has been screening a new series called ‘Trace, Track, Get My Car Back’ at 2pm Monday to Thursday.
